HAMILTON COLLEGE REUNION — KIRKLAND AUTHORS’ FAIR READING AND BOOK SIGNING. 2:30 PM At the Sadove Living Room. Kirkland authors will read from and discuss their works. Ellie is there for her contribution to the Lost Orchard anthology, but we’ll be happy to talk travel books too.
JUNE 3, 2017 WINCHESTER BEER WORKS. NOON TO 6 PM
We’ll be signing books and talking beer at the Winchester Beer Works Saturday June 3rd from noon to 6 PM. Come on out and enjoy some great beer with us.
Special Beer Week offer: We’re offering an “Incredible Spill-Not” for carrying liquids without spilling them with each book we sell in person. Find us at an event to get this incredible 2 for 1 offer: a Spill Not and a Book for the $25 price of the book alone! (Retail price is $25 for each).
We’ll be at the Mad Fox Barleywine Festival on Saturday February 25. I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to find several “beer of the day” entries there. We’re not setting up a table, but we’ll have a couple of books to sign with us if you hunt us out. Mad Fox founder Bill Madden spends a good deal of his year curating a collection of about 30 barleywines from all over the East. The Hilton Garden Inn is just a few blocks away and still had rooms last we checked.
Blue & Gray Show Presidents Weekend: Join us for one of the year’s greatest parties in the DC area. February 15 through February 19–President’s weekend — this year at the Dulles Hilton in Herndon, Va. Non-stop open kegs, brewers, beer geeks of all sorts and tons of breweriana. This started as one of the best can trading shows in the country and has evolved to include all things beer — including the beer!
We’ll be signing our book at a 20% discount from the Amazon price. And we’ll throw in an “incredible Spill Not” for only five bucks more.
If you’re an avid collector, you already know about this event. It starts with room to room trading on Wednesday and picks up speed with a brewery tour on Thursday. By Friday, most of the crowd has arrived and there ‘s lots of socializing in the hospitality room. Most of those there show up for a slice or two of pizza on Saturday night. If you have any interest in beer from its history to its taste, you’ll find others who share your interest.
See you there!!
We’ll be signing books at the Day of the Book Festival in Kensington, Maryland, on Sunday April 24 from 11 AM to 4 PM. Come see one of the areas largest literary celebrations — scores of authors, hundreds of books…and seven food trucks. As part of “From Book To Plate: Cooking With Jonathan Bardzik And Friends” we’ll be talking about some of the beers you can find in the area to create a taste of Drinking In the Culture here.
